About NERF
This is the official web site of the Northern Europe Regional Forum (N E R F) of the Open University Students Association (OUSA). Everyone studying with the Open University is automatically a member of OUSA. The Northern Europe Regional Forum comprises student volunteers who are elected from the 15 branches in Northern Europe, and other members such as the member representing us on the O U S A Executive Committee (E C M).
The Forum meets several times a year and assures that the widely spread voices from students living in region are also heard in the UK.
We know that studying with the Open University is different - we have work and/or family commitments as well as our studies. Also, studying at the Open University and living somewhere in Continential Europe can be challenging, since most of us don't have face-to-face meetings and the learning can be very isolated.
So feel free to join us at social events or get in touch with us if you have questions, ideas etc.
But OUSA is more than socialising. OUSA represents the views of its students whatever they study wherever they live. Please visit this site regularly to get the information about the latest events and branch activities. Also, sign up for our newsletter (NERF Updates) to keep yourself up to date.
